Chappell Roan says pop stars “helped” her with her deal

Women supporting women is a “femininomenon.”

In a TikTok posted on Saturday, June 22, Chappell Roan reflected on her recent rise to pop stardom and revealed that her fellow pop singers have been by her side with support ever since.

“I’m reflecting on my life and the last couple of weeks have been crazy,” Roan, 26, began in the TikTok video. “But what’s so comforting and so damn awesome is – the pop girls that you and I have loved our whole lives or have been damn fans of for the last two or three years – a lot of them have reached out and are so supportive and genuine girls.”

The “Pink Pony Club” singer went on to say that she was impressed by the way “the girls” “support each other in the pop industry.”

Becoming increasingly emotional, she added: “There are people I look up to who reach out to me and offer me some kind of friendship or help. I don’t know, it’s just awesome and makes me believe in the world.”

While Roan did not specify which pop stars have come forward, Sabrina Carpenter recently said Rolling Stone that she listens to Roan “all the time” – especially “Good Luck, Babe!” Carpenter recently covered the song during a performance for BBC Radio 1.

The “Casual” singer’s TikTok video came after she interrupted a concert in North Carolina and showed vulnerability as she told fans she was struggling to keep up with her newfound fame.

“I just want to be honest with people. I’m just feeling a little weird today because I think my career is just moving really fast and it’s really hard to keep up. I’m just being honest that I’m just having a hard time today,” she said, according to a video captured by a fan and posted on TikTok.

She added: “I don’t want to give you a worse show, it’s just that there’s a lot to see. Thank you for understanding. That’s all I’ve ever wanted. Sometimes it’s just intense.”

On June 20, Roan appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and sang “Good Luck, Babe!” During an interview with 49-year-old Fallon, he asked her how she felt about the huge crowd at the Governor’s Ball Festival in New York.

“It feels like I was right all along,” she said, adding, “When people came to my shows a few years ago, I felt like I had already made it, and this is the icing on the cake.”

In a cover story interview with Paper In the magazine “The 4th June” she talked about an overwhelming fan experience she recently had.

“Yesterday I was crying on the phone with my therapist in Syracuse. I was thinking, ‘I don’t know what’s going on, this is scary, people are coming up to me and I don’t want to talk to them most of the time because I’m totally scared. I have nothing else to say,'” she told Trixie Mattel.

“I’m literally crying on the phone out on the sidewalk, and this bitch comes up to me and says, ‘Hey, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry to bother you, but are you Chappell Roan?’ I was like, I don’t know how to handle this at all. Like, ‘God, love the girls, love the girls. There’s nothing wrong with going and saying hi. I think processing the information and coming out the other side is the hardest part.”
