The relationship story of “Love Island USA” couple Deb and Jesse is quite short.
Deb and Jesse entered the villa together on day one and were a couple almost immediately. Although they encountered a few obstacles along the way, such as socialising with other singles, the couple eventually rekindled their romance. Their strong connection even took them to the final, where they finished in third place.
Although they didn’t win, Deb and Jesse left the villa hand in hand, ready to take on the world as a power couple. On November 12, 2022, Deb spoke to EHR! Message and shared an exciting update on their relationship: Jesse had moved from Texas to California to be closer to her!

“He moved in with one of his friends,” she explained to the outlet. “He’s just adjusting to the new situation and we’re all figuring out what we’re going to do next career-wise. It’s hard seeing each other all the time, but we’re doing well.”
But just three days later, Deb and Jesse announced their separation via Deb’s Instagram story. In a statement, she announced that they had decided together that they were better as friends than as lovers.

“I just wanted to let you all know that Jesse and I have made the difficult decision to go our separate ways,” Deb wrote via People. “We have decided that we work better together as friends and will always have love and respect for each other. We will always cherish our memories and the time we shared through this incredible experience.”
She added: “We are so grateful for all the love and support and hope you will continue to support us on our individual journeys.”

Deb then gave a more detailed explanation for the split: “We had hoped that geographic proximity would help our relationship grow stronger, but we realized that it is better for us to be friends who support each other in this next chapter of our lives.”
Jesse reposted Deb’s comment on his own Instagram story, writing, “I want to thank you all for the kind words (and) support throughout all of this. You all have helped me grow so much this summer! You mean the world to me.”
