Taylor Swift is getting closer to breaking an all-time Billboard chart record

For almost two decades, Taylor Swift has been landing hits on the Billboard Charts. Smash for smash, all those wins add up, and she’s broken many records in her time as a superstar. This week, the singer wins yet another record, getting ever closer to her all-time record, which she seems poised to match soon… and then probably surpass.

“Fortnight,” Swift’s current single, climbs to number 1 on another Billboard Radio rankings this week. The hit jumps from No. 2 to No. 1 on the Adult Pop Airplay chart, bringing the Grammy favorite back to the top of the list of most successful tracks nationwide on pop radio stations that focus on a more mature sound and style.

Swift has now reached number one on the Adult Pop Airplay chart 13 times, the second-highest number of all time and also the highest number for a solo artist.

“Fortnight” helps Swift put more distance between herself and the woman who ranks third among all artists. Pink remains third on the charts of the most successful artists, having collected ten chart-topping hits.

Swift is getting closer and closer to matching Maroon 5’s all-time record. The pop/rock band has scored 15 No. 1 hits on the Adult Pop Airplay chart in the decades they’ve spent together. The pop/country/alternative star has been scoring new success pretty quickly, so it’s only a matter of time before she can match Maroon 5… and probably beat them in that regard.

In the last 12 months alone, Swift has added four new No. 1 hits to her discography. Since last summer, her singles “Karma,” “Cruel Summer,” and “Is It Over Now? (Taylor’s Version) (From The Vault)” have all reached the summit, in addition to her latest champion. This rapid-fire collection helps her climb up this list of the most successful acts of all time.

Maroon 5, on the other hand, hasn’t dominated the Adult Pop Airplay charts in years. The group last topped the charts in July 2021, when their collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion, “Beautiful Mistakes,” rose to the number one spot.
