American Idol singer proposes to his girlfriend after participating in reality show

American Idol Season 21 top-3 finalist Colin Stough is engaged to his girlfriend Mckenzie Rhett. Colin took third place in American Idol Season 21 behind runner-up Megan Danielle and winner Iam Tongi. During the competition, the country singer was known for bringing his own country style to songs from a variety of genres, including “It’s Been Awhile” by Staind, “Hand In My Pocket” by Alanis Morissette and “Dancing On My Own” by Robyn, for which he received rave reviews. Colin is one of country music’s most promising new artists today.

In an Instagram post Colin announced that he is engaged to Mckenzie, with whom he became official on Instagram in September 2023. Colin shared a carousel of pictures from their engagement photoshoot.

In his caption, Colin wrote: “Only God knew a pretty little angel would end up with a tattooed cowboy. I love you and this life with you and I can’t wait for the miles and memories we will have with my best friend and my partner in life. Let’s get married.” The comment section of the post was flooded with congratulations from Colin’s followers, including his colleague American Idol Season 21 contestant Jon Wayne Hatfield and season 22 runner-up Jack Blocker.

Colin’s fiancée Mckenzie has also achieved something impressive at a very young age. According to The shippingin 2019, Mckenzie was crowned Miss Junior Teen Mississippi United States 2019 when she was 16 years old. Her platform was Jump Up for Diabetes, which educates children about the disease and helps them eat healthy and exercise. Like Colin, she is from Mississippi, from the city of Columbus. Colin and Mckenzie seem perfect for each other.

Colin Stough releases EP and performs across the country

Colin had a very successful year

Since American Idol Season 21 ended, Colin toured the country and released new music. He recently performed at the CMA Fest. Colin has also released his latest singles “Sober” and “Makes Two Of Us”. Both songs are included on his new EP, Looking for a homewhich will be released on July 12. He contributed to all six songs on the EP, including “Boat Somewhere,” “Makes Two of Us,” “Amen,” “Sober,” “Outside Lookin’ In,” and “Lookin’ For Home.”

Colin previously released his first EP, The Promised Landin 2023which contains six songs, including “Promiseland,” “Lonely Hour,” “‘Til the Day One Does,” “If Not For Me,” “Shoulda Called Her,” and “Sleep Tonight.” His first single, “I Still Talk To Jesus,” was released during American Idol Season 21. Colin has also released an acoustic single of “Dancing On My Own”, another single, “Bad Day”, and his own version of Elvis Presley’s Christmas classic “Blue Christmas”.

Colin moved to Nashville, Tennessee

In an Instagram post from August 2023 Colin announced that he has moved to Nashville, Tennessee after American Idol Season 21. He attached a photo of himself wearing his signature cowboy hat and denim shirt with a brown vest. Colin wrote: “I have to give all the glory to God. One year ago today I had a full-time job and did things on the side. Now I live in Nashville and make music full-time.” Colin added that he is very happy about the great friends and the large fan base he has found there.

Colin thanked his fans and said that without them he wouldn’t have been able to play the shows he had the opportunity to do. He also thanked the people at his label, the songwriters, his band members, his fans and the people who stream his music. Colin originally comes from the small town of Amory, Mississippi. He previously worked there as a heating, ventilation and air conditioning technician.

Coincidentally, Colin’s colleague American Idol Season 21 contestant Zachariah Smith, who made it into the top 5, is also from Amory. During the show, Colin and Zachariah visited Amory’s Bill’s Hamburgers and talked about their audition for the show. Zachariah worked as a grill cook at the famous restaurant.

Since American Idol Season 21. Colin has had so much success both personally and professionally over the last year. At the age of 19 he realized his dreamswhich is very inspiring to see. During the show, Colin showed tremendous growth as an artist. He followed the advice of the judges – Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan – so that he could become the best singer he could be. Colin has worked very hard to establish himself as a country musician after American Idol.

Colin also expressed his opinion on who should succeed Katy as judge in American Idol Season 23. Colin chose Adele because he respects her work ethic and because she stands up for what she believes in. Colin could be described the same way.
