Following Justin Timberlake’s arrest for drunk driving in New York, details of what happened that night have continued to emerge in official reports and from insiders. What is currently known is that the 43-year-old superstar was pulled over after midnight on Tuesday, June 18, and that he had been advised not to drive earlier that night before his arrest. The police report on the case states that Timberlake told authorities he only had one drink before finally driving. Now, the bartender who allegedly served the singer that night is speaking out about his martini claim.
Reports previously suggested that the “Suit & Tie” artist was hanging out at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor during his The Forget Tomorrow World Tour. He was allegedly with friends at the time, which is also mentioned in the report. And aside from claiming he drank a single martini, the Grammy winner also apparently said he followed his pals home. As for the martini, the bartender who served the star confirmed, People that he actually only had one drink. And another employee confirmed this claim in a conversation with the outlet:

Justin Timberlake was reportedly stopped twice that night by police officer Michael Arkinson. According to the report, the multi-talented actor’s eyes were “bloodshot and glassy” at the time. It was also noted that “his breath gave off a strong odor of alcoholic beverages.” He was later taken into custody and released early in the morning after a night in jail before being “released on his own recognizance.” In addition to the drunk driving charge, Timberlake also received citations for “disregarding a stop sign and not driving in the proper lane.” His attorney, Ed Burke, explained that this was because his client refused to take a breath test at the time.
As of now, Justin Timberlake is expected to appear in court virtually on July 26. What impact this will have on his ongoing tour remains to be seen.
