Donna Kelce re-releases video of Travis carrying Taylor Swift on stage during Eras show

Travis Kelce made headlines when he performed onstage for the first time during Taylor Swift’s Eras tour shows in London over the weekend – and Kelce’s mother Donna shared her excitement about her son’s concert debut.

On Sunday, June 23 — shortly after the 34-year-old pop superstar shocked the crowd by inviting her boyfriend, also 34, a Kansas City Chiefs player, on stage — Kelce’s 71-year-old mother posted a video of the viral moment on her Facebook page.

In the clip, fans can be heard cheering and screaming as Kelce appeared on stage at Wembley Stadium and accompanied Swift in her outfit change for “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” a new part of her set since the release of The “Tortured Poets” section.

The tight end wore a tuxedo and top hat – just like Swift’s backup dancers – and filled in for the dancer the Grammy winner usually wears during the segment. Kelce grinned as he carried Swift to a red couch, where he set her down. He then set about getting her ready with the other dancers, pretending to apply makeup with a brush.

Swift then blew him a kiss as she began her next song, and Kelce waved goodbye to the crowd as he and the background dancers descended on a platform below the stage.

Donna’s Facebook followers were immediately excited that she shared a video of the moment – and praised Kelce’s live performance skills highly.

“And all the Swifties died at once and broke the internet,” wrote one fan under Donna’s post. “We need Mama Kelce to come to a show!”

Another fan chimed in, adding, “Oh my heart. Mama Kelce, I hope you all know how much us Swifties love your sons!!”

“I love how these masculine football men are showing the world that it’s okay to wear friendship bracelets, support your partner’s success and still shine yourself!” commented another fan, referring to Kelce’s brother and former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce, who made headlines when he and his wife Kylie took to the stage with tons of friendship bracelets to hand out to fans at Swift’s show on Saturday, June 22.

“Kudos to mom and dad Kelce for raising these two men!!,” the fan added.

The Chiefs player’s appearance came just days after he and Swift made their Instagram account official. The “Fortnight” singer shared a selfie of the couple posing backstage with Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte following the star’s first Wembley performance on Friday, June 21.

Kelce’s mother has previously been open about her support for his relationship with Swift. Just last month, Donna The Martha Stewart Podcastwhere she talked about the relationship between her son, an NFL star, and his girlfriend, a music superstar.

“They’re both kind,” Donna told Stewart. “They’re both generous. They’re both loving. They’re both caring people,” she added, noting that while she seems optimistic about the pair’s future, she offered a small caveat: “Time will tell.”
