Mattel has turned Jimmy Buffett into the best Jurassic World action figure

This summer, Mattel is releasing a limited-edition Jurassic World action figure of Jimmy Buffett holding two margaritas while dimorphodons fly around him. Inspired by the above scene, Buffett wears the same outfit he wore in the movie, including his signature flip-flops. Of course, the figure doesn’t exactly look scared in this predicament. Instead, he’s wearing a big grin. That’s the power of Margaritaville.

Thankfully, Jimmy Buffett doesn’t have to spend much time looking for his lost salt shaker, as it’s one of the accessories included in the set. The 3.75-inch-scale collectible from Mattel’s Hammond Collection action figure series sits on a tiki-style base with a plastic platform for a margarita glass. All of this is housed in packaging designed to look like a margarita pitcher. There’s even an illustration depicting Jimmy Buffett’s heroic moment on the outer packaging. It pairs well with the Steven Spielberg Jurassic Park action figure that Mattel released not too long ago.

This is one of Mattel’s exclusive releases for San Diego Comic-Con 2024, but the good news is you don’t have to be at the convention to get your hands on it. The Jimmy Buffett Jurassic World action figure will go on sale for $30 on the Mattel Creations website on Thursday, July 25 at 12:00 p.m. ET, right as Comic-Con begins. Plus, Mattel will be donating $5,000 and 5,000 toys to Singing for Change in honor of Buffett’s philanthropic legacy, so that’s nice.

Now if we could get an action figure set of Claire Dearing’s assistant Zara being grabbed by pterosaurs and thrown into the mouth of a mosasaurus, we’d be all set. I guess those are two memorable moments from Jurassic World.
