The final of the Men’s College World Series is entering its final round. And one way or another, history will be made.

No. 3 Texas A&M (53-14) faces No. 1 Tennessee (59-13) in an all-or-nothing showdown on Monday night to determine the winner of the three-game series and, more importantly, the national championship.

Neither the Volunteers nor the Aggies have ever won an MCWS title in the event’s 76-year history. The Aggies have never made it to an MCWS final; Tennessee last appeared in the final in 1951, when it lost to Oklahoma.

Texas A&M won the first game of the series 9-5 on Saturday, with the Aggies taking the lead with a five-run inning in the third. Tennessee responded the next day with a 4-1 win, tying the series thanks to two two-run home runs in the seventh and eighth innings. That brings us to Monday.
