The webinar series “Best practices in the editorial processes of scientific LILACS journals (2024)” aims to promote the understanding of fundamental issues in scientific publishing in order to improve the quality, positioning and visibility of Latin American and Caribbean journals in the health sciences and related fields indexed in LILACS (Latin American and Caribbean Health Sciences Literature).

Members of editorial teams of Latin American scientific journals in the field of health sciences that are already indexed in LILACS, are seeking indexing in the database, or are in the process of being indexed.

Health information networks are essential to strengthen and expand the work carried out by BIREME in favour of BVS, LILACS, DeCS and all information sources and services that contribute to the democratisation of access to and visibility of scientific knowledge in the field of health in the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The 2024 calendar includes 19 meetings divided into four areas:
- BVS network
- Referee Network
- Document indexing according to the LILACS methodology
- Best practices in the editorial processes of LILACS scientific journals
All meetings will be registered in the BVS Network Events Directory. Attend, follow the schedule and add to your calendar. And if you missed a session or want to review the content presented, you can access the presentations and session recordings.
