13 famous faces Prince George has met – including Taylor Swift, David Beckham and the Obamas

The son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George has met many famous faces over the past decade, even at a young age.

Royal watchers were delighted when Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte posed for a photo with Taylor Swift last Friday after taking part in her Eras tour at Wembley Stadium.

George and Charlotte were all smiles when they met the US megastar backstage at the concert, which coincided with their father William’s 42nd birthday.and Birthday.

But what other big names has George met? From footballers to heads of state, the young prince has rubbed shoulders with some of the most famous people.

Taylor Swift

The Bejeweled singer shared her own photo from her meet and greet with the royals, including her boyfriend and Kansas City Chiefs player, and wrote: “Happy birthday M8! The shows in London are off to a great start.”

The Obamas

George, then two years old, was allowed to stay up later than usual to meet US President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama when they visited William and Kate at Kensington Palace in 2016.

Justin Trudeau

Sometimes even princes and princesses are a little shy! Prince George declined a high five from confused Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau during William and Kate’s tour in 2017.

David Beckham

Cameras captured the moment Prince William and Kate introduced George to former footballer David Beckham during the 2020 European Championships as the young prince watched his first England game.

Ed Sheeran

But David Beckham was not the only famous face in the royal box during the game – his son Romeo, singers Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding and former England goalkeeper David Seaman were also there.

Sir David Attenborough

The Welsh children were visibly impressed by Sir David Attenborough when the young royals met the naturalist and radio and television presenter at their home in Kensington Palace in 2020. George appeared fascinated when he was presented with a fossilized tooth from an extinct Carcharocles megalodon – one of the most fearsome predators to ever swim the seas.

pep Guardiola

And George even had the chance to meet Man City manager Pep Guardiola after their defeat to Manchester United in the FA Cup final.

Tyrone Mings

As a special treat during the Easter holidays, William took his Aston Villa fan George to watch the team’s UEFA Europa Conference League match against Lille OSC at Villa Park in April 2024, with the Royals sitting next to Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings.

Rishi Sunak

As the future king-designate, George will one day hold weekly audiences with the incumbent prime minister, but he has already met several, including Rishi Sunak. The British prime minister was spotted enjoying a cricket match and pizza with William and George during the 2023 Ashes tournament.

Johannes Schlüssel

The former Prime Minister of New Zealand met baby George during the toddler’s first royal tour of the country in 2014. John’s tenure lasted from 2008 to 2016, when he was succeeded by Bill English.

Tony Abbott

The former Australian prime minister gushed about baby George as William and Kate set off on their royal tour from Canberra in 2014.
