A love story – GeekTyrant

Netflix has released the trailer for a new documentary titled Skywalkers: A Love StoryThis film tells the death-defying story of a Russian couple obsessed with tower climbing, also known as “rooftopping”.

The two break into territories and illegally climb to the top of giant towers to take photos and videos for their social media channels. This film focuses on them as they embark on an adventure to scale the second tallest skyscraper in the world.

In the film, “a daredevil couple risks everything by going where no one has gone before: to the top of the world’s second tallest skyscraper. Angela and Vanya are Russia’s preeminent roof climbers, braving all odds (and death) to scale the world’s tallest buildings.

“As their acrobatic stunts go viral, garnering millions of online views, they put their love and trust to the test with a dangerous new activity called ‘skywalking.’ Filmed over six years in six countries, this documentary captures extreme climbing in harrowing detail.”

“Skywalkers: A Love Story” was directed and written by the Emmy-winning filmmaker Jeff Zimbalist (Favela Rising, The Two Escobars, Momentum Generation). This looks like a cheesy movie and I’ve heard it’s not good.

The film will be released in IMAX theaters for one week only on July 12, 2024. It will then be released on Netflix on July 19, 2024.
