Michigan Football is looking for another recruit for 2025

The Michigan football program has worked on recruiting players and one man who deserves credit for that is wide receivers coach Ron Bellamy.

Some people have criticized Bellamy on the trail, but this past weekend he was able to bring top-100 wideout Andrew Marsh back to campus for an official visit. There are no crystal ball projections for Marsh… yet, but Steve Wiltfong of On3.com projected him for Michigan football Sunday, which is significant.

Marsh would be the best wide receiver signing Michigan football has made since the days of Donovan Peoples-Jones and Nico Collins, which is how long it’s been since the Wolverines signed a top-50 wideout or close to it.

But that’s not the only wide receiver the Wolverines are eyeing. Phillip Wright is another. The explosive three-star wideout is dynamic and Michigan has been the frontrunner since his official visit the weekend of June 14.

Another visitor last weekend who flew under the radar was four-star wide receiver Jacob Washington. Like Bellamy, he’s from Louisiana, and the 6-foot-3, 190-pound player, ranked No. 320 in the class of 2025 according to the 247 Sports Composite Rankings, was projected for the Wolverines by Steve Lorenz of The Michigan Insider in a crystal ball and by EJ Holland of The Wolverine in an expert projection.

Michigan also has an 82 percent chance of getting Washington’s commitment, according to the On3 prediction engine. Mississippi State, Georgia Tech and Missouri have also gotten official visits from the 4-star wide receiver and are in the running, but it feels like this is another player from Louisiana coming to Michigan, just like Jasper Parker.
