Taylor Swift’s song “F**k The Patriarchy” enrages social media

Social media is not happy with Taylor Swift after some old song lyrics went viral.

Swift is all over social media after Travis Kelce performed with her at a show in London on Sunday. It got the crowd going wild, but that’s not the only reason she’s trending all over social media.

On X, a video of a previous show in Liverpool in June has resurfaced, and people are not happy that she sang the lyric “F*ck the patriarchy.”

The lyrics come from their mega hit “All Too Well”, which was released in 2021.

Taylor Swift is attacked on social media because of old song lyrics.

For reasons not entirely clear, X erupted into heated comments and criticism of Swift… over lyrics that are several years old. You can check out the reactions below and let me know your thoughts at [email protected].

This is just a small taste of what is currently circulating on social media. There are countless other examples of X and it is currently a top trend.

The problem is, I don’t know why. Why are people so interested in lyrics from several years ago from a woman who made her “girlboss” mentality pretty clear?

I love bashing out-of-touch celebrities as much as anyone else. I do my best work doing that. People need to learn when to hold back though. It’s not worth the outrage and meltdowns we’re seeing on social media. It’s a song! Guys, it’s a song that, like much of Swift’s music, focuses on relationship issues. People on social media are acting like this is a national crisis.

It’s very embarrassing and weird to care so much about what Taylor Swift sings.

Also, the idea that Taylor Swift is a terrible role model for young women is a bit over the top. She’s never had any trouble with the law, no bad PR stories, and is worth around a billion dollars. If your daughter has a track record like that, then I’d say she’s doing just fine. It’s time for people to take a deep breath, open a beer, and relax. There are much bigger issues to worry about than a few 2021 lyrics from T-Swift. Let me know your thoughts at [email protected].
