“He was sick since birth”

Welcome Star Nana Patekar spoke about the loss of his eldest son Durvasa in a recent interview with Lallantop. Nana Patekar said, “My eldest son was ill since birth. He had some health complications. He had problems with one eye, which was not visible. I was so disgusted that when I saw him, I thought about what people would think, what kind of son Nana has. I didn’t think about what he felt or how he felt. I just thought about what people would think about my son. His name was Durvasa. He spent two and a half years with us. But what can you do, some things happen in life.”

Nana Patekar also made headlines recently when he commented on his non-participation in Welcome 3. At the launch of the trailer of The Vaccine War, starring Nana Patekar, he was asked about his absence in the latest installment of the comedy series. Nana Patekar then said, “I am not a part of it, maybe they think I am outdated.”

Nana Patekar, winner of three National Film Awards, is known for his work in films such as Natsamrat, Wajood, Parinda, Ab Tak Chhappan and Yeshwant. He was most recently seen in The vaccine warIn “The Vaccine War,” he played the role of Balram Bhargava, the former director general of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), who was actively involved in fighting the pandemic and was part of the country’s Covid task force.

The film was released in theaters on September 28th last year.
