The live-action series “Tengu no Daidokoro” will receive a second season in October – News

New 10-episode season with returning cast and crew


BS-TBS announced on Monday that it is producing a second season for the live-action series adaptation of Ai Tanaka‘S Tengu no Daidokoro (Tengu’s Kitchen) manga, which premieres on BS-TBS in October with 10 episodes. The main cast from the first season will return, including Kiita Komagine as Motoi Izuna, Akihisa Shiono as Yui Atago, and Keitatsu Koshiyama as On Izuna.

Kakeru Nagashima returns as director, along with other unnamed directors. Yukiko Sode, Yoshitatsu Yamada, Chihiro Amano, Hiromu Kumamotoand Miharu Nara also return as writers. VaVa (SUMMIT, Inc.) again composes the music.

Volume 1

The first season aired on BS-TBS And BS-TBS 4K in October 2023.

The manga focuses on two brothers, On and Motoi. Both are descendants of devilflying goblin-like creatures from Japanese folklore, and On only recently learned of his parentage at the age of 14. On lives with his brother away from normal society, and the story follows their everyday lives.

Tanaka published the manga in Kodansha‘S Afternoon Magazine in September 2021. Kodansha released the second volume of the manga on February 21st.

Tanaka’s Apple Children of Aeon (The Shepherds Men Ringo no Ko) Manga ran in Kodansha‘S ITA Magazine from 2011 to 2014. Kodansha Publishing publishes the manga in English.

Tanaka’s King in limbo Manga ran in ITA from 2016 to June 2018, when the magazine stopped publishing. The manga switched to Kodansha‘S Comic Days App in August 2018 and ended in August 2019. Kodansha Publishing publishes the manga in English.
