“Let This Grieving Soul Retire” starts in October 2024 and gets additional voice actors

Five new voice actors are joining the upcoming fantasy anime series Let this grieving soul retirewhich will begin airing in Japan in October 2024.

The five additional actors and characters include:

• • Fairouz Ai as Liz Smart
• • Konomi Kohara as Sitri Smart
• • Kohei Amasaki as Luke Sykol
• • Tomokazu Sugita as Ansem Smart (who also lends his voice to the narrator)
• • Aoi Koga as Lucia Rogier

They join the main cast Kensho Ono as Krai and Miyu Kubota as Tino.

Masahiro Takata (The family circumstances of the irregular witch, the ice blade wizard will rule the world) directs the anime series, with Hideki Shirane (The Duke of Death and His Maid, Date A Live Seasons 1 to 3) as screenwriter of the series and Yuusuke Isouchi (Science fell in love, so I tried to prove it) And Shingo Fujisaki (Skip and Loafer Co-animation director for episode 4, Undead murder farce Episode 3, 4 and 13 (co-animation director) as character designer. ZERO-G is responsible for the production of the animation.

The original light novel series was written by Tsukikage and illustrated by ChykoIt was first published on August 30, 2018 by Micro Magazine’s GC Novels label, with 11 volumes to be released starting in February 2024. J-Novel Club will publish the light novels digitally in English after Sol Press’s initial license for the series expires in 2021.

The series began as a web novel on Shosetsuka ni Naro on January 27, 2018 and has also inspired a manga by Rai Hebino in 2019. Yen Press publishes the manga adaptation in English for North America.
