2025 3-star DB Chris Fileppo commits to West Virginia

On Sunday evening, the West Virginia football club received its 18th new addition from the class of 2025. Three-star defensive back Chris Fileppo made it official and announced his intention to play for the Mountaineers.

Fileppo is a rising senior at LaSalle College High School in Pennsylvania.

“Committed!,” Fileppo wrote on social media.

Fileppo (6’3″) received offers from Connecticut, James Madison, Lafayette, Monmouth, New Hampshire, Purdue, South Florida, Villanova and others. Fileppo was offered by West Virginia on May 21 as co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach ShaDon Brown was the primary recruiter. Fileppo was offered by WVU while already committed to JMU.

West Virginia’s class of 2025 is currently ranked 23rd in the country. The class of 2025 is the best class for West Virginia during Neal Brown’s tenure. WVU’s class ranks fourth in the new Big 12, only TCU, Arizona State and Oklahoma State are better.

Most recently, the Mountaineers signed Montavin Quisenberry, a three-star athlete from Kentucky. Considered a three-star prospect by several national scouts, Quisenberry plays both wide receiver and defensive back at Boyle County High School in Danville, Kentucky. He is also a standout point guard on his high school basketball team and is considered one of the best athletes in Kentucky.
