The singer told his fans they made his life “so special” as he returned to the stage for his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour”
Justin Timberlake said his fans made his life “so special” days after his drunk driving arrest. The Cry Me a River singer thanked his fans during the Forget Tomorrow World Tour five days after his alleged drunk driving arrest in the Hamptons, New York.
Speaking to the crowd at Chicago’s United Center on Saturday, he said, “This (tour) is just something that’s always watching over me, this tour more than any other.”
He added: “And that’s because all of us here in this room tonight, in this arena tonight, almost all grew up together.”

About meeting fans, he said: “So many of you come up to me and say, ‘I grew up with you, man.’ I want every single one of you to know that I grew up with you.”
“You have been such a big and wonderful part of my life and sometimes I don’t have the words to express my gratitude that you just keep riding with me.”
Justin addressed the loyalty of his followers, from his *NSYNC days to his solo career, saying his fans are still “here and now.”
He added: “I just want to say that you guys keep loving me and come back and spend this experience with me and share it.”
He expressed his sincere gratitude, saying, “And from the bottom of my heart, I want you to know that until I’m gone from somewhere on this earth, I will never forget each and every one of you. You made my life so special. And tonight in Chicago, you made us feel loved.”
Justin’s concert came after he confessed to fans that he had had a “rough week” during a show at the same Chicago arena on June 21 – his first since his drunken driving arrest.
He added: “I know it’s hard to love me sometimes, but you still love me and I love you too.”
Sag Harbor Police issued a statement on June 18 saying that in the early morning hours of the same day, Justin was “observed driving a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a properly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane.”

They concluded that he was “operating his vehicle while intoxicated,” arrested him, processed his record, and held him overnight until he could be arraigned the next day. Justin was charged with two counts of disobeying a stop sign and failing to stay in his lane, and one count of drunken driving. He allegedly told the arresting officer, “I was drinking a martini and following my friends home.”
Edward Burke Jr., the singer’s lawyer, said: “Mr. Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations. He will have much to say in due course. He is currently awaiting the full findings from the prosecution.”
