Paul McCartney and fans dance to “But Daddy I Love Him”

“But Daddy I Love Him,” the great song that begins Taylor Swift’s Department for Tortured Poets During “The Eras Tour,” Paul McCartney danced with his fans at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday (June 23).

The Beatles legend, who just turned 82, was a VIP guest at Swift’s third concert at Wembley this weekend. Videos showed his arrival at the stadium, but one clip stands out and captures an experience that would be priceless for any McCartney/Swift fan.

As Swift sang the lyrics of “But Daddy I Love Him” ​​about how cynics and saboteurs can’t “neutralize the chemistry and reverse the fate” of her relationship with the song’s muse, a group of fans simply enjoying the moment caught McCartney’s attention.

McCartney noticed the dance moves of the concertgoers and quickly joined in.

“You don’t have to pray for me/ Me and my wild boy and all that wild joy,” Swift can be heard singing in the video embedded below. McCartney sways and appears to sing along to some of the lyrics, along with a number of stunned concertgoers who couldn’t have guessed this encounter would take place.

Snapshots from Wembley Stadium on social media showed McCartney also appearing approachable earlier in the day, taking part in the Eras Tour tradition of exchanging friendship bracelets.

Jon Bon Jovi was also spotted wearing friendship bracelets at Swift’s Sunday show in London, and the many other famous faces seen during her three-night run at Wembley included Prince William on Friday and Tom Cruise on Saturday. Swift’s boyfriend Travis Kelce was in town for the London performances and unexpectedly made his Eras Tour stage debut in costume during Tortured Poets’ “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

For Swift, it’s not “So Long, London” just yet. Due to demand, the Eras Tour will return to Wembley for five more nights in August, but will stop in several other cities beforehand, including Dublin, Amsterdam, Zurich and Milan over the next few weeks.

The “Tortured Poets” section is currently spending its ninth consecutive week at number one on the Billboard 200 chart.
