Michigan football stays hot thanks to the signing of MSU legend Kaden Strayhorn

When your head coach is a former offensive lineman and former offensive line coach, you trust that the players are capable of playing at that position. And that’s definitely the case with the Michigan football team’s latest signing: Kaden Strayhorn.

Strayhorn is a three-star recruit. But he will play even better for Michigan football. There’s a reason the Wolverines selected him as their center for the 2025 recruiting class.

The 6-foot-3, 295-pound player is originally from Michigan and comes from IMG Academy, where he currently plays. Strayhorn officially visited Ohio State and Alabama last month. He also recently received an offer from LSU.

However, going into the weekend, it felt like Michigan football had the lead. The Wolverines just needed to catch up and that’s what they did this weekend.

On Saturday, Sherrone Moore, the head coach of the Michigan football team, posted the eyes emoji and #GoBlue three times. Now we have two commitments on the board, so it seems Moore was actually talking about Strayhorn and Donovan Johnson. We don’t know who the third recruit is yet, but I have a feeling we’ll find out soon.

There are plenty of candidates, especially now that Michigan is looking to sign top-50 wideout Andrew Marsh and also top-5 tight end (in the class of 2025) Andrew Olesh.

As for Strayhorn, this is a better recruit than the rankings suggest. He is versatile and can help the Wolverines at multiple spots. But in the long run, I could easily see him as a multi-year starter and a key part of the offensive line for multiple seasons at the center position.

But when you have a player who can play multiple positions, he’s even more likely to contribute. And that’s the case with Strayhorn, who is considered a blue-chip prospect even as a three-star overall player.
