Bjp: Why no action against Tamilisai and S Ve Sekar? | Chennai News

Chennai: Sacked BJP’s OBC wing leader in TN, Tiruchi Suriyaa Siva, has asked why no disciplinary action was taken against former BJP state president Tamilisai Sounderarajan and S Ve Sekar for “anti-party activities”. He also threatened to publish a list of BJP leaders who receive money from the sand mafia. Suriyaa asked if S Ve Sekar was spared because he was a Brahmin. “S Ve Sekar celebrated BJP’s defeat in TN by setting off firecrackers and raising DMK’s Kalaignar 100 programme. He is still a member of the BJP. Why was no action taken against him? Is it because he is a Brahmin,” he asked. Suriyaa also asked if caste was also the reason for no action against Tamilisai. Suriyaa said Tamilisai had criticised state president K Annamalai and accused him of spoiling the alliance with the AIADMK, which in turn would have damaged the BJP’s chances in the LS elections. She had also alleged that rowdies were inducted into the BJP. “Is it because she is a Nadar? If the BJP leadership believed Tamilisai’s statement to be true, then they should have taken action against Annamalai. What prevented such an action? Was it the Gounder lobby?” he asked. Annamalai belongs to the Gounder community. Despite propagating Hindu unity, the BJP’s subservience to caste lobbies has been exposed by this inaction, alleged Suriyaa. He alleged that BJP functionaries were threatening the sand mafia and extorting amounts ranging from Rs 50 lakh to Rs 80 crore every month. He threatened to publish a list of those who received the money from the sand mafia.
