Unlucky Morpheus and ELFENSJóN sing anime theme songs for “Nazeboku”

Two well-known doujin circles, Unlucky Morpheus and ELFENSJóN, will contribute their music as the theme songs for the fantasy anime “Naze Boku no Sekai wo Daremo Oboetinei no ka?” (Nazeboku), or in English “Why Does No One in This World Remember Me?”

Based on the light novel by Sazane Kei with stunning illustrations by neco, the anime follows the protagonist Kai as he witnesses a profound reality shift that causes the world to be “overwritten.” The first episode is scheduled to air on July 13.

Title song “Sekai Rinne”

Unlucky Morpheus will perform the theme song with the appropriate title Sekai Gutter (世界輪廻, Death and Rebirth of the World).

In their statement, the band said that they had read the original work thoroughly to create the song and hoped that it would give listeners even more depth.

A short excerpt from Sekai Gutter is featured in the anime’s second official preview and features heroic instrumentals and powerful vocals from Fuki.

Ending song “UMBRA”

The final theme song UMBRAsung by ELFENSJóN, is one of three songs chosen as the anime’s end credits. The unit explains that the song title means “shadow” and conceptually represents “the way it wanders around in search of light.”

At the time of writing, there is no preview of the song yet. However, ELFENSJóN has consistently released excellent fantasy rock and metal tracks since its formation in 2018, so we have no doubt that this will be another one worth checking out.
