Travis Kelce Cameo, “Us” with Gracie Abrams

Taylor Swift’s show at Wembley Stadium got silly on Sunday night (June 23) when Travis Kelce unexpectedly appeared onstage during the singer’s show in London. Department for Tortured Poets The tour date also marked the live debut of Swift’s latest song.

The couple enjoyed the third of Swift’s three concerts at Wembley this weekend. Kelce, who saw the show all three nights in London with friends, family and celebrities, was doing his Eras Tour stage debut at the beginning of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.” The Kansas City Chiefs tight end carried an exhausted Swift in the over-the-top final act of her Tortured poets Extravagance.

The crowd cheered in surprise when they saw the NFL player on Swift’s stage; he has been spotted at a few Eras concerts, but usually as a VIP spectator, exchanging friendship bracelets or dancing along to songs like “Blank Space,” “Karma” and “So High School.” Among the crowd at Wembley on Sunday night was Paul McCartney.

Kelce acted in character with Swift’s dancers to prepare the star to “fake it till you make it” in front of the crowd and to smile “even when you want to die” – as the song goes.

“I grinned like I was winning/ I hit my target/ ‘Cause I can do it with a broken heart,” Swift sings in the pop track with a cheeky chorus: “I’m so depressed, I act like it’s my birthday every day/ I’m so obsessed with him but he avoids me like the plague/ I cry a lot but I’m so productive, it’s an art/ You know you’re good when you can do it even with a broken heart.”

When The “Tortured Poets” section The show’s era ended, and the pop star began her acoustic set, which usually consists of a guitar and piano performance of songs she has never or not often played live. Lately, she has been presenting many of her surprise songs as mashups.

On Sunday, she said at the stadium: “If you know the lyrics, you get extra points because the song has only been out for about two days.”

“It belongs to my friend Gracie,” she added, talking about Gracie Abrams, who just released the album The secret of uswhich includes a duet with Swift. (The night they wrote the duet “us.” will be hard to forget, as the songwriting session ended in flames: a candle started a small kitchen fire, which Swift herself was able to put out with a fire extinguisher.)

Swift sang “us.” live for the first time, starting with guitar and then switching to piano as Abrams took the stage next to her.

“I just love that girl so much,” Swift once said.

She also praised her for their collaboration: “Writing with her is just awesome. That is an author.”

The two hugged when the song ended, and then Swift London offered a medley of some 1989Fan favorites from the era: “Out of the Woods,” “Is It Over Now?” and “Clean.”
