Ash of War: Flame Spit – Overview & Weapon Types

This Ash of War grants a weapon the affinity for Flame Art and the following skill:

“Flame Impaler: Skill of Queelign the Fire Knight. Envelop your weapons in flames, take a low stance, and impale the enemy in a single move. A strong attack triggers a follow-up flame attack.”

In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Earth TreeThe Flame Spike is a new Ash of War that grants the Flame Art affinity to the equipped weapon. The weapon types of Ash of War: Flame Spike include all weapons that can thrust.

When you use this Ashes of War, you thrust your weapon forward, causing a wave of flames to swirl around you. After the thrust, your weapon remains covered in flames, dealing additional damage to enemies weak to fire.

Where to Find Ash of War: Flame Spike Location

To get Ash of War: Flame Spike in the Elden Ring DLC, you must reach Scadu Altus. This area can be reached by going through Ensis Castle and defeating Rellana, Twin Moon Knight. After leaving the castle and reaching the Highroad Cross Site of Grace, you must head northwest to reach the Crusade Church.

Inside the church you will be attacked by Fire Knight Queelignwho uses his large thrust weapon and does a few fire attacks to destroy your health bar. One of the attacks you should be wary of is the consecutive jump attacks that can interrupt your healing and deal a lot of damage. After you defeat him, he will drop the Ashes of War and the key to the prayer room.
