Is this Post Malone’s official country album? Singer announces new LP “F-1 Trillion”

More Post Malone More Post Malone

Post Malone has announced the release of his highly anticipated sixth album, F-1 billion. After a quick turnaround of two months, the album will be released on Friday, August 16th.

Not many details are known about the album yet, as the former rapper and country singer surprisingly announced the release via a social media post.

Post Malone took to social media today (June 19) to share a photo of a sign in Nashville that reads the album’s title and release date in smaller font. He captioned the post, “What up motherfuckas… F-1 Billion August 16th.”

Given the album’s promotional space – Nashville – and his recent forays into country music, it’s safe to assume his upcoming release will be a full-blown, country-inspired spectacle filled with special guests and showcasing Post’s voice along with an acoustic guitar (hopefully).

This month, Post teamed up with another country music star, Blake Sheltonand sang the new song, Pour me a drinka surprise appearance at CMA Festival. Post will release the song this Friday (June 21).

In November, Post Malone confirmed that he was preparing to release a country album… and he had been in the studio with Brad Paisley.

“The country record is coming”, Chemical Singer and rapper said in a Twitch live stream when fans asked him if he would ever get into country music. “I keep singing a song we did when I was in Nashville and it’s so damn cool, but it’s not out yet.”

He revealed that he had been working on two different albums in the studio – whether both had a country feel to them is unclear – and continued: “We made such crazy music in Nashville. It was so much fun.”

In other Post Malone news, the star will be appearing at Global Citizen FestivalAppearance alongside Coldplay‘S Chris Martin, Doja Cat, Jelly Roll and more in Central Park on Saturday, September 28. For more information about the event, click here.
