Death toll from Israeli genocide in Gaza Strip exceeds 37,000 civilians

Israeli occupation forces have carried out three massacres of families in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours, killing 47 people and injuring 121. This brings the death toll from Israeli aggression since October 7 to 37,598 and 86,032 injured, the Gaza Strip Health Ministry said on Sunday.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell said Saturday was one of the bloodiest days since last October, with at least 100 Palestinians reportedly losing their lives. Borrell also stressed the real risk of conflict with Lebanon’s Hezbollah and stressed the potential impact on the region and beyond.”

Meanwhile, the state media office in the Gaza Strip said that more than 17,000 children have been orphaned by the Israeli occupation since the war in Gaza began on October 7. Three percent of them have lost both parents, it added.

In addition, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said it was appalling and sad that 39,000 high school students in the Gaza Strip failed to complete their exams and more than half a million children were deprived of education for a period of eight months.

On the ground, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, said it had bombarded the Kissufim military base with mortar shells in cooperation with the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and the Al-Nasser Salah al-Din Brigades. The Al-Quds Brigades announced that its resistance fighters had bombarded an Israeli occupation force position on Al-Rashid Street in the Netzarim axis south of Gaza City with a rocket attack.

In the same context, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), said its fighters had destroyed an Israeli Ofek Carpet engineering vehicle with a guided missile west of Tel Zoroub in Rafah, setting it on fire.
