Liam Gallagher talks about the reported reunion of Oasis

Liam Gallagher has shared his insight into reports that Oasis will reform next year.

The 51-year-old singer was the frontman of the Britpop band from 1991 until the group disbanded in 2009, together with his brother Noel Gallagher (57).

For years, fans of the “Don’t Look Back In Anger” hitmakers have hoped that the brothers would bury the hatchet and get the band back together – and this weekend those prayers seemed to have been answered, as a report suggested the group will perform a series of concerts in 2025.

But Liam dismissed this suggestion while speaking to a fan on social media who asked if Oasis would get back together in 2025.

In his response to the post on X, Liam wrote: “Nobody told me they might get a new singer like the guy from Queen (sic).”

Another fan then asked: “Who could Oasis get to replace you as singer? Not Adam Lambert,” and Liam joked: “H from Steps.”

On Sunday, a report in the Mirror claimed that Liam and Noel had agreed to perform at Wembley on several dates before negotiations fell through.

A source claimed: “Until now, no one knew how close Liam and Noel were to making it a reality. You don’t get much closer than booking a place at Wembley and their teams were devastated when it all fell apart once again.”

In the years since their split, Liam has hinted that he would be open to an Oasis reunion if Noel asked him to.

In February, he told the Sunday Times: “He knows I’m not going to call him. He’s the one who broke up the band, so he’ll call, and if there’s no call, we’re not going to get back together.”
