Bergie reveals the juicy details of what it was like to be part of the fifth season of Love Island USA – from giving couples space to chat privately to being a “girl-girl”
Love Island star Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen recently commented on the sixth season of the reality show.

“There wasn’t much snooping in my season, we never did that,” the show’s star told a Mirror reporter.
“You know, Soul Ties would hang above the kitchen, so if you were loud enough, we could hear the conversations on Soul Ties,” he added.
“Soul Ties” is the room above the kitchen that features a small conversation area and a bed. Because the area was above the kitchen, other Love Islanders could easily overhear conversations that were supposed to be one-on-ones. Bergie mentioned that “Soul Ties” was the reason his Season 5 co-star Leonardo Dionicio found himself in the firing line.
“That’s where Leo got in trouble because he got back together with Cassie afterward, even though he was dating Anna at the time,” he explained. Bergie further revealed that he saw his other co-stars Johnnie Olivia and Kassy Castillo kissing in the “Soul Ties” zone.
“‘Soul Ties’ is crazy because we also saw Johnny and Kassie making out…” he said.
But no matter how interesting the plot might be, Bergie insisted that no one would spy on couples enjoying “Soul Ties” together during his season.
“There was a little bit of snooping on my season, but it wasn’t three girls coming up the stairs just to catch a glimpse like it never happened,” the TV star confirmed.
While revealing juicy details about what happened on Love Island season 5 to the Mirror, Bergie admitted that he is the confidant of several of the show’s female contestants. Bergie proudly admitted that he is more of a “girl’s guy” than a straight guy.
“I was completely open and transparent. I was more of a girly girl than a buddy in front of the bitches…” he revealed. “I spilled the beans, like, ‘Is he good for me? Is he bad for me?’ And I gave them a lot of advice.”
Bergie’s being a “girl’s girl” proves to be successful for his relationship, as he and Taylor are still on good terms.
