2024 College World Series live: Updates and more for Tennessee vs. Texas A&M on Sunday

Texas A&M, a school whose baseball program dates back to the 19th century, had never played in the Men’s College World Series finals until this year. Now the Aggies are just one win away from winning the first baseball title in program history.

Texas A&M defeated the Tennessee Volunteers 9-5 in the first game. The Vols, another team with roots dating back to the 19th century, need to win two games in a row to secure their first national baseball championship after finishing second in 1951.

After a strong first game by the Aggies, the second game of the CWS final will either crown this year’s national champion or extend the series into Monday with a do-or-die third game.
