The production has previously released first photos of all main roles as well as character descriptions.

The Prime Video project has been touted as a gritty and adult take on the world of Gotham City, and here’s the official description: “Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant, and law-abiding citizens live in constant fear. Forged in the fires of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less human – Batman. His one-man crusade attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions have deadly, unforeseen consequences.”

The series comes from a team of genre super producers, including The Batman Director Reeves, along with JJ Abrams and Bruce Timm.

The show is from Warner Bros. Animation, Bad Robot Productions and 6th & Idaho.

All ten episodes of the series will premiere on Thursday, August 1, on Prime Video.
