LIV golf pro throws away his club in disgust (!) during a very stubborn round in Nashville
What a difference this day made for Mexico’s Abraham Ancer at LIV Golf Nashville.
The 33-year-old Ancer stormed to the top in the first round after a flawless round of 7-under 64.
24 hours later, Ancer signed a miserable record of 4 over 75.
This took him from solo start to T27th place.

Ancer bogeyed the 8th and 9th holes and then followed that up with a double on the 12th hole, dropping him down the scoreboard and out of contention.
On one of the holes in his round, Ancer’s frustration boiled over when he tomahawked his fairway wood about 45 yards in front of him.

Ancer made a bogey on hole 17, but then managed his only birdie of the round on the par 5 hole 18.
He is now ten strokes behind the leader, currently held by Englishman Tyrrell Hatton.
Ancer has four top-10 finishes in the first eight LIV Golf League events of 2024, culminating in winning his first LIV Golf title in Hong Kong in March.
He was not eligible to participate in the first three majors of the season.
Hatton, who birdied six of his last seven holes on day two, is hoping to win his first LIV Golf title in Nashville.
He has a three-stroke lead over John Catlin, who replaces Charles Howell III on Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers GC.
DeChambeau is also in the running after winning his second US Open title last weekend.
The hard-hitting American sits just four feet behind $600 million leading newcomer Jon Rahm in T3.
