There are inconspicuous looks and then there are inconspicuous, Taylor Swift looks. The former is laid back and casual, while the latter has all of that with an innate cool-girl vibe, and to be honest, I want what Swift has.

The singer has been going out more often lately (she’s rarely seen anymore!) and her current evening outfit of jeans and a T-shirt screams, “I’m not trying too hard, but I’m here to serve.” Maybe it’s the way she walks, maybe it’s the way she looks fierce, but I really haven’t seen such a simple outfit combination that looks so cool in a long time.

For a night out in New York City, Swift wore a brown ribbed short-sleeved shirt with buttons down the front (which she left mostly undone because it was, well, sexy). She tucked the casual top into a pair of gray washed, loose-fitting jeans. At first glance, it looks like regular jeans, but if you look at her look from a different angle, you’ll notice that these aren’t just boring old jeans; they’re cool jeans, because they’re by Agolde, a label famous in Hollywood that pretty much every celebrity wears, including Rihanna, Chrissy Teigen, and Gigi Hadid.

Arguably Agolde’s most famous jeans are the cross-front version. Teigen wore a very similar pair with white lace-up shoes in 2021, while Swift opted for chunky combat boots from The Row, demonstrating the versatility of the denim. They’re stylish thanks to the unique waistline, but can still be styled in a variety of ways – the best of both worlds.

I own a few pairs of Agolde jeans and these are by far the ones I wear the most. Why? Because they are comfortable – a must when I wear the blue stuff – and because they are flattering, because who doesn’t want jeans that make their butt look great? They are also top quality; I have washed them several times and they have held their shape perfectly. I can’t say that about all my jeans.
