Hugh Grant marvels at Taylor Swift’s “gigantic boyfriend” at Wembley show

Hugh Grant sent Taylor Swift a hilarious message after watching her second performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The Love Actually The actor was among the stars – including Tom Cruise, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher – who watched Swift’s globe-trotting “Eras Tour” show from the VIP tent on Saturday night (June 22).

Grant, 63, was visibly surprised by the performance and sent Swift a thank you message via X/Twitter, raving about the “incredible” show she put on. He then went on to admire her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, whom he described as “excellent, albeit gigantic.”

Grant wrote: “Dear @taylorswift13, you have an incredible show, a fantastic and very welcoming team and an excellent, albeit huge, boyfriend (#tequilashots.)”

He then referenced Swift’s 2019 song “London Boy,” writing, “Thank you from an ageing London boy, his wife, and an adoring 8-year-old #halfgirlhalfbracelet.”

The Notting Hill The 63-year-old actor is married to 41-year-old Anna Elisabet Eberstein, with whom he has three children. He has two more children with his ex-girlfriend Tinglan Hong.

Swift’s fans seemed delighted with Grant’s message. One commented: “So wonderfully British to send a thank you card,” while another wanted to know the gossip from the VIP tent, tweeting: “You need to talk about this and the tequila shots.”

Another wrote: “Oh I bet your 8 year old will live with this memory for a long time.”

Swift’s VIP guests at the opening night of the London leg of her Eras tour on Friday (June 21) included her NFL star boyfriend Travis Kelce, Bridgerton Director Nicola Coughlan, Queer Eyeby Jonathan Van Ness and model Cara Delevigne.

During her stay in the capital, Swift mingled with British celebrities – and even members of the royal family. The Prince of Wales attended the show on Friday evening to celebrate his 42nd birthday together with Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6).

A video surfaced on TikTok showing Prince William dancing out of a box to “Shake It Off.” Swift later shared a selfie of herself posing with the royals and her boyfriend Kelce, writing, “Happy Bday M8!” alongside emojis for the British and US flags and a handshake emoji.

Meanwhile, Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer took a photo of himself and his wife Victoria in the 88,000-strong crowd.

Although her 45-song setlist remains largely the same throughout the tour, Swift changes up the “Acoustic Section” of her set, which includes two surprise songs she selects from her back catalog.

On Saturday night, she sang “thanK you AImee” – which many fans believe is a reference to reality star Kim Kardashian – and introduced the song by telling the audience, “Every time someone talks shit, I work even harder.”
