Actors Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Talulah Riley looked overjoyed as they tied the knot in a romantic wedding ceremony in Hertfordshire on Saturday (June 22).
Brodie-Sangster, 34, who is best known for her role as lovesick child Sam in the 2003 romantic comedy “The Last Man” Love Actuallyand 38-year-old Riley, who played Annabel Fritton in the 2005 film St. Trinianwere together for two years before announcing their engagement in July 2023.
In pictures of The sunThe pair were spotted leaving St. George’s Church, a stunning 14th-century church in Anstey, Hertfordshire. Riley wears a white satin dress with a voluminous skirt and her hair is slicked back into a neat bun topped with a long, lace-trimmed veil. Brodie-Sangster, meanwhile, wore a colorful suit ensemble with gray pinstripe pants and a floral waist jacket.
Both actors were seen grinning as guests threw confetti as they walked through the churchyard holding hands and drove away in a carriage.
The couple first met on the set of Danny Boyle’s Sex Pistols drama on Disney+ gun in March 2021, before making their first public appearance together at the Baftas in March 2023.
Riley was previously married twice to Tesla and Space X CEO, billionaire Elon Musk, whom she met in a London nightclub in 2008, shortly after his separation from ex-wife Justine Long. They married and divorced twice – first from 2010 to 2012 and then from 2013 to 2016.
When Brodie-Sangster announced their engagement, he shared a picture of them on a gondola and wrote: “I’m delighted to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X,” in a sweet reference to the lyrics that Bill Nighy’s character in Love actually.
Talulah confirmed her engagement on X, then known as Twitter.
“I am delighted to announce that Thomas Brodie-Sangster and I are engaged after two years of dating!” she said.
At the time, Musk responded to their announcement with a tweet: “Congratulations!” He also added a red heart emoji.
Brodie-Sangster played in A magical nanny, Labyrinth Runner, Nowhere boyin which he played the young Paul McCartney, and Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. He gained a new legion of fans thanks to his recurring role as Jojen Reed in game of Thrones.
In the acknowledgements for Riley’s book The accelerationShe thanks Musk for being “the perfect ex-husband.”
“He’s a great friend. He looks after me. We’re in a happy place now where we’re good to each other, which is really nice. I have the utmost love for him,” she said The Independent in 2022.
She explained her decision to divorce Musk and remarry by saying that although it “looked strange,” the “logic made sense at the time.”
“I suppose the reason for remarrying was because it felt silly to be together unmarried after a marriage. You know, it’s like a habit,” she said.
“He’s a great friend. He looks after me. We’re happy and good to each other now, which is really nice. I love him with all my heart.”
