Hezbollah warns of war without “borders and rules” against Israel

Hezbollah responded to Israel’s recent threats by announcing that it would wage a “borderless” war if the country further escalated its military attacks on Lebanon.

On Saturday, Hezbollah threatened a war “without borders, rules and restraint” in response to an escalation of Israel’s military activities against the Lebanese group.

The statement was made in a video produced by Hezbollah’s war media entitled “For those affected.”

The video includes excerpts from an earlier televised address by Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, in which he said: “If war is imposed on Lebanon, the resistance will fight without borders, rules or restraint.”

“Anyone who thinks of waging war against us will regret it, God willing,” Nasrallah says in the video.

The short video also contains footage of aerial surveillance of Israeli areas and cities carried out by Hezbollah with its drones as part of a comprehensive reconnaissance operation.

The reconnaissance images shown in the video once again demonstrate the extent of Hezbollah’s technological capabilities. Images were taken of potential Israeli targets, such as oil refineries in Haifa, Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, the port of Ashdod and military bases in the Upper Galilee.

Last Tuesday, Hezbollah announced the implementation of “Operation Hudhud” with the deployment of a drone that provided sensitive reconnaissance images from northern Israel, more specifically from Haifa.

Hezbollah claimed that the drones evaded Israeli air defenses and returned undetected or shot down, suggesting that the drones can penetrate deep into Israel undetected or deterred.

In recent days, the intensity of threats between Israel and Hezbollah has increased dramatically. Israel has expanded its military attacks on southern Lebanon, while Hezbollah has retaliated in northern Israel.

Earlier this week, US Presidential Special Envoy Amos Hochstein traveled to Lebanon and Israel to try to ease tensions on the Lebanese-Israeli border.

However, Hochstein left the country without making any progress. Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said Israel was on the verge of waging “total war” against Hezbollah and Lebanon.

“We are approaching the moment when we must decide on a change of the rules of the game against Hezbollah and Lebanon,” Katz wrote on X.

“In a full-scale war, Hezbollah would be destroyed and Lebanon would be severely defeated,” he added.

This was followed by a CNN Report in which a senior US official stated that the US would fully support Israel in a possible war with Hezbollah.

Violence between Hezbollah and Israel has continued since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza. In response to Tel Aviv’s devastating war on Gaza, Hezbollah launched light attacks on Israeli military positions, while Israel responded with heavier attacks.

At least 480 people have been killed in such attacks in Lebanon, most of them fighters, but also at least 93 civilians.

On the Israeli side, at least 15 soldiers and eleven civilians were killed, according to Israeli authorities.

Increased tensions on the Israeli-Lebanese border in recent days have raised concerns about an escalation of the regional conflict.
