Royal expert reveals why Charles may never forgive Harry

A royal expert has said the reason he believes the king may never forgive his son is because of the widening rift between Harry and the other members of the royal family.

Royal biographer Christopher Andersen said Charles loved his son but could not stop harboring resentment after what the prince wrote about his family – particularly Camilla – in his memoirs, Spare.

Mr Andersen said Fox News: “I think people need to realise that Charles finds criticism of Camilla unforgivable.

“Unfortunately for Harry, he said some pretty devastating things about her. Prince Harry made it clear that he thought she was the villain in the play.

“I think this is still bothering the King, and I don’t know if it will be easy for him to forgive. I don’t think they will ever forgive Harry.”

Mr Andersen added that the Prince was still “badly on Camilla’s heels” and that he was “on his own” until he got over that grudge.

King wants to limit his Australian tour and cancel a trip to New Zealand for health reasons

The King is expected to limit his tour of Australia and cancel his New Zealand trip altogether after concerns were raised about his health.

Charles and Camilla actually wanted to travel to Australia, Samoa and New Zealand – but there are fears that the monarch will “overexert himself” during his cancer rehabilitation.

A royal source told the Mirror: “Of course it will be a bitter disappointment to both sides that the King and Queen will not have the opportunity to visit New Zealand, but everyone is aware of the King’s ongoing health condition and the need for him to maintain a low profile.

“We very much hope that more opportunities will arise in the future.”

As the newspaper reported, the trip to Australia will be shortened to around six days, followed by a two-day break before the royal couple travels to Samoa for three days and is not expected to travel on to New Zealand.

Royal History of Ascot Racecourse

Charles and Camilla have been staunch supporters of Royal Ascot since the death of Queen Elizabeth II, who rarely missed the race in Berkshire – one of the highlights of the racing calendar.

In recent days they have seen some of the country’s best jockeys, trainers and horses compete at the world-famous racecourse.

Ascot Racecourse was founded by Queen Anne in 1711 and has since received the support of twelve other monarchs. The summer horse racing at Ascot officially became a royal week in 1911. The King and Queen own and breed many thoroughbred horses and share a common interest in horses with many members of the family.

The names of the week’s races have a royal theme, such as the King George V Stakes, the Diamond Jubilee Stakes and the Windsor Castle Stakes.
