Chris Pratt “is the right one”

While Josh Brolin refrained from taming dinosaurs, Jurassic World trilogy, he is happy that the role went to one of his co-stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In the episode of 13 April Happy Sad Confused Josh, 54, said in a podcast that despite his “respect” for original director Steven Spielberg, he couldn’t imagine playing the lead role of Owen Grady in the new films – a role that ultimately went to Chris Pratt.

“I couldn’t imagine being that guy,” Josh said. “And I’m very, very happy with what Chris does with it based on my decision, because I think Chris is the right one.”

The Oscar nominee said he was impressed by Pratt, 42, after seeing his performance in their 2014 film Protector of the Galaxy and “I even kind of embarrassedly told him when I saw him at a party one time and thought, ‘Dude, what the hell is going on?!'”

“Because I really enjoy seeing other people succeed; it doesn’t always have to be me,” he added. “I think I knew, in the grand scheme of things, that someone else would do it much better than me.”

Josh and Pratt have worked together on three MCU films: Protector of the Galaxy, Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

In the third film of the new trilogy, Pratt and Howard are joined by original Jurassic Park The stars are Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill, who are back on screen for the first time in almost 30 years, since the first film in the series hit theaters in 1993.

Director Colin Trevorrow spoke with Weekly entertainment in December 2021 about the highly anticipated sequel, explaining that Dern, 55, Neill, 74, and Goldblum, 69, will play major roles in the continuation of the story.

“They have equal screen time to Chris and Bryce. They are main characters from start to finish,” he said.
