Justin Timberlake’s mugshot released after arrest; photo of singer in handcuffs goes VIRAL

Pop star Justin Timberlake’s mugshot has taken the internet by storm after he was arrested for drunk driving in Sag Harbor, New York.

The 43-year-old singer, who is currently on his “Forget Tomorrow World Tour,” was arrested early Tuesday morning, June 18, after a night out with friends at the American Hotel. Timberlake was stopped by police after he disregarded a stop sign and failed to stay in the proper lane.

According to the arrest report, the officer noticed Timberlake’s bloodshot eyes, the strong odor of alcohol on his breath, his slowed speech, unsteady movements, and poor results on sobriety tests. Despite these signs, Timberlake claimed he had been drinking “a martini” and following friends home.

Justin was apparently only charged with an “isolated incident” of driving under the influence of alcohol because he “refused to take a breathalyzer test.”

Justin’s attorney Ed Burke Jr. told Us Weekly: “The charge was an isolated incident of refusing to take a breath test. Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other violations in court for disregarding a stop sign and not driving in the proper lane.”

Page Six claims that Justin took a breathalyzer test and the cop who stopped him was “so young he didn’t even know” who Justin was.

The arrest report shows what Justin told the police officers when he was arrested.

“I drank a martini and followed my friends home,” Justin told police, according to People.

The officer who stopped Justin found that the singer’s eyes were bloodshot and glassy, his breath gave off the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage, he was unable to divide his attention, spoke slowly, was unsteady on his feet, and performed poorly on all standardized sobriety tests.”

Sag Harbor police said in a statement that an officer stopped Timberlake shortly after midnight after seeing him disregard a stop sign in his BMW and fail to stay on the right side of the road.

“During the investigation, it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was driving his vehicle while intoxicated,” police said, confirming earlier media reports.

“Mr. Timberlake was arrested, the case processed and held overnight pending arraignment in the morning,” police said.
The ten-time Grammy winner was released without bail later Tuesday morning after being arraigned in Sag Harbor.

Justin is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing on July 26, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said.

Timberlake has two performances in Chicago on Friday and Saturday, followed by a performance at New York’s Madison Square Garden on June 25 and 26.
