Jason Momoa and Chris Hemsworth argue about their muscles on TikTok and I love their back and forth

Since the early days of superhero comics’ success, there has been something of a battle between Marvel and DC. Although that battle no longer really exists today, most people are fans of both sides to varying degrees. But that doesn’t mean there can’t be a little playful banter between the two sides, and Aquaman and Thor seem to go at each other when it comes to showing who is truly the strongest.

Recently, a TikTok by Jason Momoa went viral, showing the actor in the black suit in which we see him as part of some promotional images for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom where he challenges Chris Hemsworth to show off his muscles, apparently showing off how good he looks in the suit without having to work out.

It’s kind of weird to hear Jason Momoa praise the fact that you don’t need to work out. Momoa obviously works out. I’m not sure even a padded suit would be enough to make any body look like a superhero without working out. Still, it’s probably pretty cool to look in the mirror and see that you look like a total daredevil.

Chris Hemsworth didn’t miss the insult. He posted his own video of himself working out, praising Momoa’s “padded suit” and showing off how good he looks without wearing any sleeves at all. At the last moment, Hemsworth apparently wants to make it clear that there is no real fight between the two by telling Aquman “I love you,” just to make sure we all realize this is all just fun.

The “I love you, Aquman” is what makes this scene really artful. It’s so much fun to watch these guys who obviously love each other having fun. And let’s not forget that Jason Momoa is also really built like a brick wall, even if the suit he wears helps to amplify the muscles. The fact is that while every actor who plays a superhero trains to get in shape, almost every suit they wear is also padded. The only possible modern exception is Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam look, because The Rock is just not human.

Of course, Chris Hemsworth’s Thor doesn’t usually wear sleeves, so he’d have to look pretty impressive in real life to give the impression that he’s literally a god. I hadn’t really thought about that before. But even if Hemsworth wanted to go the padded suit route, he doesn’t really have that option.

We’ll have to wait and see if Jason Momoa comes up with a new response to keep this “feud” going. Honestly, an ongoing social media battle between Chris Hemsworth and Jason Momoa would probably be just as entertaining as the Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman feud we all love. Especially when every video ends with them saying how much they love each other.
