Michigan won the college football national championship last season, and the whole thing came with a lot of craziness that only Michigan fans found a way to fight against.

The Wolverines were involved in a major cheating scandal involving illegal filming of the team’s sidelines and stealing their signs. As a result of that scandal, former head coach Jim Harbaugh was suspended by the Big Ten for the final three games of the regular season. Despite that, the Wolverines managed to win every single game last season and now they are awaiting an NCAA investigation to determine whether to strip them of their title.

Michigan fans denied the cheating scandal last year when it came to light. Even though there was evidence of the team cheating, they still didn’t believe it. How a fan base that fights with every other fan base about everything isn’t ranked in the top 50 most hostile fan bases in sports should also be investigated, because it doesn’t make sense.

Michigan is lucky not to be in the rankings

Big Game Boomer, a major social network, listed the 50 most hostile fan bases in sports, and Michigan was nowhere to be found. Their biggest rival, Ohio State, came in at number four, and there’s no arguing that because they’re just as hostile as Wolverine fans, but Michigan not being on the list is ridiculous.

Even Michigan State, Wisconsin, and Maryland made the list, and those fanbases aren’t hostile by any means. Wisconsin has one of the coolest fanbases in college football, so putting them on the list is a joke.

Of course, Michigan fans responded positively, while fans of opposing teams did not react well and shared their thoughts on social media.
