Christian Kirk and Chris Godwin (2024)

Christian Kirk and Chris Godwin (2024)

There are several ways to dominate your fantasy football draft, and one of those ways is to find wide receivers outside the top 24 who could end the year as a top 12 player.

According to FantasyData, three wide receivers had an ADP outside the top 24 going into the 2023 season and finished the year as a WR1 with half a point of PPR scoring. Puka Nacua was drafted in almost no league but finished the year as a WR4. Mike Evans had an ADP as a WR33 but finished the year as a WR5. Nico Collins was a popular dark horse who was drafted as an average WR56 but finished the season as a WR9.

Which wide receivers from the draft between the ages of 25 and 36 have a chance of being a top 12 pick in 2024? Let’s take a look at a few potential candidates.

WR3s with WR1 potential

ADP via FantasyPros

Christian Kirk (JAX): ADP 56.7 |

Kirk is the perfect combination of sure-footedness and potential at the wide receiver position. He was the WR11 in 2022 and averaged 11.8 half-PPR fantasy points per game as Trevor Lawrence’s No. 1 pick. Additionally, Kirk was the WR16 and averaged 11.7 fantasy points per game from Week 2 to Week 12 of last season, despite Calvin Ridley posting a 20% target-per-route run rate in those games (per Fantasy Points Data). He should dominate the middle of the field while Gabe Davis and Brian Thomas Jr. challenge defenses further back.

Chris Godwin (TB): ADP 64.3 | WR33

Fantasy players struggled with having Godwin in the starting lineup, as he scored 9.6 or fewer half-PPR fantasy points in 64.7% of games last season. He also averaged fewer than 10 fantasy points per game for the first time since 2018. However, Godwin is primed for a comeback year as the Buccaneers moved him back to the slot. The veteran averaged 0.41 fantasy points per route run in the slot, compared to 0.26 out of the slot last season (per Fantasy Points Data). There’s a chance Godwin will score more points than Mike Evans in 2024.
