Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez’s teenage son Max looks identical to his famous father in an unearthed throwback

Marc Anthony has incredibly strong genes and his last photo on Instagram looked like a copy of his son Max, whom he has with his ex-wife Jennifer Lopez.

The award-winning singer had posted an old photo on social media of himself and Billy Joel on the red carpet at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction 23 years ago.

A fresh-faced Marc beamed as he posed alongside the talented singer, writing: “23 years ago today I had the honor of presenting my dear friend Billy Joel with the Johnny Mercer Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York. What a blast from the past! I am blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate him!”

Marc and his son Max have almost identical faces with the same facial features, including eyes and jawline.

When Jennifer shares photos of Emme and Max on social media, her fans often comment on how similar Max is to his famous father.

After paying tribute to her twins on their 16th birthday in February, comments included: “Max is a carbon copy of Marc” and “Oh my God! Max looks just like Marc Anthony. A clone.”

Emme and Max are two of Marc’s seven children. The singer is also father to young son Marc Jr., whom he has with his wife Nadia Ferreira, sons Cristian and Ryan with his ex-wife Dayanara Torres, and Arianna and Chase, whom he has with his ex-girlfriend Debbie Rosado.

Over the years, Marc has posted very few photos of his children online, although his sons Ryan and Christian made a rare public appearance to support their father when he received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in September 2023.

Emme – who released her debut book Lord Help Me in 2020 – has previously spoken about her close bond with her father, calling Marc a “loving father” in an interview with Entertainment Tonight.

“He’s very funny. He cares a lot about all of us and he’s just a good person,” they said.

While Marc prefers to keep his family life out of the spotlight, he has previously spoken openly about how he balances his busy work routine with time with his children.

“I try to see my children as much as possible during the holidays. Thank God all my children know that their father does not have to work 9 to 5… They understand that I am away from home for long periods of time for my work,” he told People en Español.

Marc lives primarily in Miami, Florida, while his twins Emme and Max live in LA, having moved there from Miami following JLo’s split from Alex Rodriguez in 2021. Jennifer has since married Ben Affleck, rekindling their relationship from decades ago. She paid tribute to Ben on Father’s Day, writing: “Happy Father’s Day to our hero.”
