Business

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties will honor Jack Cox, president and owner of Halfacre Construction Company, and Dr. Harriet Moore, director of strategic engagement for Sarasota County Schools, at the 18th Intertape Polymer Group (IPG) Leadership Breakfast for their commitment to empowering our community’s future leaders to reach their full potential. The event will be held on Friday, September 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Lee Wetherington Boys & Girls Club, 3100 Fruitville Road in Sarasota. For nearly two decades, our community has come together each September for this event to honor individuals who have made significant contributions to providing youth with a great future. This year, the two honorees are deeply committed to ensuring youth and families have access to community empowerment programs that provide them a path to success after high school graduation. The Leadership Breakfast recognizes the honorees’ commitment to helping local youth develop leadership skills, explore entrepreneurial education, and further prepare for college and careers. All proceeds from this event benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sarasota and DeSoto Counties’ award-winning youth programs, providing life-changing services to thousands of youth in Sarasota and DeSoto Counties.
