Sara Al Madani clarifies the voice message revealed by Chanel Ayan

Has Sara Al Madani Really say she’s not a fan of her longtime friend Caroline Brooks? According to Chanel Ayan and Caroline Stanbury, she is – and they had the voice message (originally sent by Sara to Lesa Milan) to prove it in Season 2, Episode 8 of The Real Housewives of Dubai.

How to watch

Watch “The Real Housewives of Dubai” Tuesdays at 9/8c on Bravo and stream it the next day on Peacock.

At least that’s what they thought.

In a preview of episode 9, which airs July 30, the conversation continues via voice memo while the Dubai ladies are in Bali for dinner. Brooks and Sara are naturally eager to get more information, so Lesa explains, “I sent Ayan a voice memo from (Sara) and toward the end it wasn’t clear to me if you disagreed with Brooks about the argument that took place at Caroline’s house…”

Before she can continue, Taleen Marie interjects and gets straight to the point, saying to Sara, “You said, ‘I’m not a fan of Caroline Brooks.'”

From there, Ayan presses the play button for the voice memo.

What did Sara Al Madani say in the voice message about Caroline Brooks?

In the voice note that Ayan plays to the group, Sara can be heard discussing the drama of Stanbury’s inauguration dinner. She tells Lesa, “You did the right thing, no matter who the person was, and I understand that. And you explained yourself. You say, ‘Even though I’m not a Brooks fan, I’m still not going to tolerate this,’ and that’s true.”

“I have said You said you weren’t a fan of Brooks,” Sara clarifies.

From there, the voice message continues and Sara adds, “I’m not her biggest fan either.”

However, she did not talk about Brooks.

“From Taleen!” Sara tells the group, before reminding them of what happened at Stanbury’s dinner. “The moment I heard you scream, ‘Where’s your husband?’ I wasn’t your biggest fan, baby. I was upset because (Brooks) is divorced, I’m divorced.”

This makes everyone – especially Brooks – feel better.

“Sara was talking about Taleen, not me,” she notes in a confessional. “And you know what? I can’t say I disagree.”

Even Taleen says, “I’m relieved because I know what Sara Al Madani means to Brooks, and I know it would have hurt her deeply. Would it have been funny to see that in the moment? Absolutely. But I didn’t want that friendship to fall apart.”

The consequences of Chanel Ayan’s voice message to Lesa Milan

However, the drama surrounding the voice message is not over yet.

“I’m so mad at Ayan,” Lesa says in a confessional. “And the worst part is that she shares it with Stanbury of all people.”

Meanwhile, Stanbury says in her own confessional: “I didn’t know the voice message was from Lesa. If I had known, we would have taken it to the grave with us, because that’s not a relationship I want to disrupt.”

Then there’s Ayan, who is angry at both Stanbury (for bringing up the voicemail) and Lesa (for saying she’ll never trust Ayan again). She explains, “You, Lesa, (are) my friend. I’m angry at Stanbury, but I’m more angry at you than I am at Stanbury. I expect more from you. When you can sit there at a dinner with everyone and literally say, ‘I don’t trust you’? It’s like she was trying to belittle me.”

Sara is also not particularly happy with the situation.

“I don’t understand how she could be confused,” she says of Lesa. “My messages were clear. It was about Taleen the whole time, in all the voice messages. We talked about Taleen. What exactly is confusing you?”
