7 things you should know about Journeyy

America’s Got TalentThe ongoing 19th season of “The 40 Fingers” concluded its casting process with some incredibly talented artists, one of whom was young singer Journeyy Belton, also known simply as Journeyy.

The pop singer won the hearts of judges Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Sofia Vergara and Heidi Klum, including host Terry Crews, when he introduced them to the original song “Paradise.” Needless to say, all four judges gave Journeyy a resounding yes to move on to the next round of the competition, which begins after the Olympics.

America’s Got Talent Was Journeyy’s first flight

In the opening segment of his audition, Journeyy revealed that his trip to Los Angeles for America’s Got Talent It was his first ever flight, which made the experience very special.

Journeyy has a favorite America’s Got Talent Judge

Before he took the stage, Journeyy met Howie backstage as the judge asked him some fun questions about who his favorite judge was. When Journeyy took the floor and revealed that Simon was his favorite, Heidi stepped in next to Sofia to try and change his mind, but ultimately the child singer was not swayed.

How old is Journeyy?!

Journeyy is only 9 years old, but he sings with so much emotion that any attentive listener would forget it. His young age makes his talent all the more impressive.

Journeyy is from New Jersey

When Journeyy took the stage for his audition, the judges asked him where he was from. He then revealed that his family lives in Jersey City, New Jersey, quite a distance from the competition, which is set in Los Angeles.

Journeyy was awarded before the competition

As Journeyy was on stage to begin his audition, Simon told him that one of his friends had pointed out his talent and told the judge that he needed to get Journeyy on the show. “He said a few days ago, ‘You need to watch this video.’ And it was you. Anyway, we sent the video to the production team and then found out that they had already found you.” Simon told the boy. In other words, his time on AGT was fate.

Journeyy already has a large fan base on social media

As Journeyy mentioned during his audition, the release of his Hillsong United cover of “Oceans” garnered a lot of attention. “I just didn’t expect that recording videos in my house would lead to me being here now. When I grow up, I want to be a pop singer,” he revealed. Journeyy currently has 50,000 followers on Instagram and 112,800 followers on TikTok, where he has received 841,500 likes on his videos.

Journeyy makes covers and original songs
