New Apple Immersive Video Series, Movies, Concerts and More Will Premiere on Apple Vision Pro
Apple Vision Pro users experience breathtaking series, films and more from the areas of action adventure, documentaries, music, scripts, sports and travel
Apple is releasing brand new TV shows and movies shot with Apple Immersive Video, available exclusively on Apple Vision Pro. Apple Immersive Video is a remarkable storytelling format that uses 8K 3D video with a 180-degree field of view and spatial audio to immerse viewers in the action.
Limitlessa new series that invites viewers to experience once-in-a-lifetime travel from anywhere, premieres in the U.S. today, July 18, at 6 p.m. PT with “Hot Air Balloons” and will be available worldwide this fall. The next episode of Wildlifethe nature documentary series that brings viewers closer to some of the most charismatic creatures on the planet, and Elevatedan aerial travel series that offers viewers legendary views from dizzying heights will launch this fall.
Later this year, users can enjoy special performances with the world’s biggest artists, starting with an immersive experience from The Weeknd; the first scripted Apple Immersive short film, Submergedwritten and directed by Oscar winner Edward Berger; a look behind the scenes and on the court of the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend; and Big wave surfingthe first part of a new sports series with Red Bull.

Limitless
With Limitlessviewers embark on journeys they’ve only dreamed of and meet inspiring people in extraordinary places. In “Hot Air Balloons,” viewers soar into the skies over the surreal landscape of Cappadocia, Turkey. In the next episode, “Arctic Surfing,” available this fall, viewers can float along with a group of intrepid surfers who have headed to an icy region north of the Arctic Circle in search of winter waves.
Wildlife
Apple releases the second episode of Wildlifewhich takes viewers to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust in Kenya, where orphaned elephants find their feet in the care of their keepers, frolicking in foaming mud baths and forming an adopted family with their human companions and the wild elephants that roam the land beyond. Later this year, viewers will plunge into the depths with a brave group of divers in the Bahamas, where they will come face to face with apex predators and discover creatures far more complex than often portrayed.
Elevated
In the first episode of Elevateda series about air travel, viewers fly over volcanoes, climb up and over waterfalls, and discover countless natural wonders on the world’s longest island chain, Hawaii. In the next episode, available later this year, viewers experience a crisp New England autumn with a breathtaking journey along winding coastlines and across stunningly beautiful rivers.
Submerged
Submergedthe first scripted short film shot in Apple Immersive Video, will premiere this fall. Set during World War II, the action-adventure story puts viewers aboard a submarine, where the ship’s sailors fight to survive a deadly torpedo attack. It is written and directed by Oscar winner Edward Berger. Submerged demonstrates the unique storytelling capabilities only possible with Apple Immersive Video on Apple Vision Pro.
NBA All-Star Weekend 2024
This fall, basketball fans can experience the 2024 NBA All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis from a unique perspective: with an immersive short film featuring the Rising Stars, the Slam Dunk Contest, the first-ever NBA vs. WNBA 3-Point Challenge, “Stephen vs. Sabrina” and the All-Star Game.
An immersive experience from The Weeknd
Apple Music Award-winning and seven-time diamond-certified artist The Weeknd returns to the spotlight with an immersive experience premiering exclusively on Apple Vision Pro later this year.
Red Bull: Big Wave Surfing
Viewers will feel the power of the ocean like never before as elite surfers attempt to ride the world’s heaviest wave off the remote coast of Teahupo’o, Tahiti. This post will be filmed this summer and will be available later this year.
New Apple Immersive Video tools for filmmakers
Apple and Blackmagic Design will enable professional filmmakers to bring their creative visions to life with a new production workflow for Apple Immersive Video, including a brand new Blackmagic camera – URSA Cine Immersive – and updated versions of DaVinci Resolve Studio and Apple Compressor. Available later this year, this comprehensive toolkit will help bring even more immersive films and TV shows to Apple Vision Pro users around the world.
This year, more series, films, concerts and sports broadcasts recorded with Apple Immersive Video will be released.
