Travis Kelce shows no signs of his turbulent offseason, while Taylor Swift takes her toll as the Chiefs star pulls off a ridiculous juggling catch on the third day of training camp

Despite the hectic offseason that he just spent with his girlfriend Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce obviously didn’t need any time to get back into the swing of things at Chiefs training.

After following his girlfriend, a pop megastar, across Europe on her Eras tour over the summer – and even performing onstage at London’s Wembley Stadium – Kelce finally returned to Kansas City training camp on Sunday, where the team is beginning preparations for the new NFL season.

The 34-year-old was keen to spend as much time with Swift as possible before returning to football, and PEOPLE revealed that his final concert appearances were “bittersweet” as the couple knew their summer together was coming to an end.

Nevertheless, just a few days after his departure for the training camp, it is clear that he has already found his rhythm on the field again.

In a clip circulating on social media, Kelce can be seen catching a pinpoint pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes with a sensational juggling catch during a practice session.

Kansas City’s No. 87 appears to be in high spirits after reuniting with his teammates. In another clip, he can be seen doing a few dance moves while walking down the aisles with his teammates.

He arrived at training camp on Sunday with his trademark preseason mustache and later that afternoon he was seen running several routes and even scoring a touchdown in his impressive return to practice.

This prompted ESPN host Pat McAfee to sing Kelce’s praises. On his weekly sports talk show, he said:

“He just had an incredible offseason and literally conquered the globe. He shows up like that (with a mustache), then he scores touchdowns and leaves everyone behind,” McAfee said.

“He’ll do that until he’s 65 years old. That’s why, when you say and do everything, he’s the best tight end of all time. Look at his stats, you see what he’s accomplished.”

After spending the summer with Swift, he finally turned his attention back to football

Although Kelce enjoyed his time with Swift, he – who also filmed “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity” and Ryan Murphy’s upcoming horror series “Grotesquerie” in the offseason – is now “back in football mode,” an insider told PEOPLE.

“His team and the Chiefs remain our top priority,” the source added, as they prepare for a third straight win.

Reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City will hold open practices at Missouri Western State University in Saint Joseph before its first preseason game on August 15 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Its title defense begins on September 5 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Swift will perform in Hamburg and Munich this week before heading to Poland on her Eras tour.
