Travis Kelce’s father reacts to the arrest of Taylor Swift’s stalker who also threatened his NFL star son

A suspected stalker of Taylor Swift, who is said to have threatened the pop star and her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, was arrested last Thursday before a concert in Gelsenkirchen.

Ed Kelce, Travis’ father, immediately responded to the situation with a powerful message. Ed posted a blunt statement on social media condemning the stalker’s threats against his son and his girlfriend. The message went viral on Twitter and received widespread applause for Ed’s strong stance.

Ed Kelce’s powerful message to stalkers

According to AP News, on July 17, shortly before Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Gelsenkirchen, an American was arrested for allegedly threatening the Karma singer and her boyfriend, a Kansas City Chiefs player, on social media.

On Monday, July 22, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Ed Kelce, father of the tight end, issued an aggressive statement in response to the incident.

Ed, also known as “Papa Kelce,” rushed to Facebook to post and share the news article about the stalker’s arrest just before the Germany show. “I’d love to know who this bitch is,” he captioned his Facebook post.

The screenshot of Ed Kelce’s Facebook message went viral on Twitter, with people praising dad Kelce’s move and supporting Ed for his protective behavior toward his children.
One fan commented: “He is already very protective of his future daughter-in-law.”

Another fan said, “The Kelce family is always there for each other.”

While some fans joked, one added: “Ed is serious; he’s not acting.”

Some admirers admired the honesty with which Ed Kelce defended his future daughter-in-law, with one of them saying, “I love this family.”

The other says: “Iconic behavior.”

Taylor Swift’s performances in Gelsenkirchen were huge successes. The 34-year-old Fortnight singer thanked her fans on Instagram for the atmosphere they created during their Eras Tour concerts in Gelsenkirchen, a city north of Cologne. The Grammy winner also thanked them for the overwhelming response to her brand new album.

The stalker had the ticket to Taylor Swift’s show in Gelsenkirchen

The unnamed American came to the attention of authorities after allegedly making threats against Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce on social media. He was arrested at the entrance to Swift’s concert in Gelsenkirchen on July 17.

According to the Associated Press, the 34-year-old man, whose identity was not disclosed, had a ticket to the event at the Veltins Arena. He was detained at the entrance as officials assessed the potential risk following a tip-off from event organizers. A local judge ruled that the man should remain in custody for the duration of Swift’s Eras Tour stay in the city, and he was released on July 20. Authorities assured that Swift, Kelce and the 60,000 fans in attendance at the event were never in danger.

This incident is the second stalking case Swift has been involved in in recent months. Earlier this year, David Crowe was arrested twice in three days after Swift reported him for “skulking” around his apartment.

Swift is currently touring Europe as part of her record-breaking tour and will perform in Munich on July 27 and 28. Travis Kelce, who won the Super Bowl earlier this year, was seen accompanying her on the tour.
