Dragon Age: The Veilguard voice cast revealed, including Erika Ishii and more

Before a busy week at San Diego Comic-Con, BioWare has announced who will provide the voice for players’ companions in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, as well as some actors who have returned from previous games.

Also announced were the voices of Rook, the character the player controls. Players can choose from four voices provided by Erika Ishii (Apex Legends, Destiny 2, Dimension 20), Alex Jordan (Cyberpunk 2077, The Amazing World of Gumball), Bryony Corrigan (Baldur’s Gate 3, Good Omens) and Jeff Berg (Battlefield 1, NCIS).

Below is the full list of The Veilguard voice cast, including BioWare’s character descriptions, which include some interesting hints:

  • Ali Hillis (Mass Effect 3, Naruto) returns to battle as Harding, the Dwarven Scout, a Dragon Age: Inquisition hero with a big heart, a positive attitude, and a bow at the ready—as well as unexpected magical powers.
  • Ike Amadi (Mass Effect 3, Halo 5: Guardians, Insomniac’s Spider-Man) as Davrin, a brave and charming Grey Warden who has made a name for himself as a monster hunter.
  • Jee Young Han (Perry Mason, Unprisoned) as Bellara, a creative and romantic veil jumper obsessed with uncovering ancient secrets.
  • Jessica Clark (True Blood, Pocket Listing) as Neve, a cynic who fights for a better future both as a private investigator and as a member of the rebellious Shadow Dragons of Tevinter.
  • Jin Maley (“Star Trek: Picard,” “Silicon Valley”) as Taash, a dragon hunter allied with the Lords of Fortune who lives for adventure and has no problem taking risks.
  • Nick Boraine (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Black Sails) as Emmrich, a necromancer of Nevarra’s Mourn Watch who is equipped with a skeletal assistant, Manfred, voiced by Matthew Mercer (Critical Role, Fallout 4).
  • Zach Mendez (Horizon Forbidden West, Married Alive) as Lucanis, a calm and pragmatic assassin who comes from the bloodline of the House of Crows, a criminal organization known throughout Thedas.

As already confirmedAll of the companions mentioned above are also available to the player as romance options.

Additionally, Gareth David-Lloyd will reprise his role as the voice of Solas, a companion from Dragon Age: Inquisition who will play a key role in The Veilguard, while Brian Bloom returns as franchise main character Varric. BioWare also hinted in its announcement that it will introduce several other characters, including some familiar faces, but it’s holding off on revealing them “because, you know – story spoilers.”

BioWare makes its announcement before much of its creative and voice talent heads to San Diego Comic-Con this week. The developer has different plans for the annual conference, including a panel on Friday and autograph sessions for developers and voice actors.
