The new collection, The Spinsis her most complete work to date. “The Spins is really me being myself. I’m processing how OCD has taken over my life. I wrote some of the songs before I even knew I had the condition. It’s a lyrical slab with a lot of attention to detail, with textured sounds like trumpets, strings, a myriad of synths and even sound bites from exposure therapy sessions woven in and out of the melody. It was important to me to capture all of me and all of my voices. I really wear it all.” said Kelly.

The The six-song collection was introduced with two fascinating singles: “Take me,” which LeFutureWave explained “a musical spectacle, a highly structured landscape that radiates empowerment,“ and his successor “Fit in.” Tastemaker Outlet Ear milk applauded It is “experimental twist” and you “thrilling performance.”

Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Kelly continues to be the leading light of Philadelphia’s vibrant music scene with her highly personal blend of jazz, soul and funk. She combines her smooth, powerful, technically adept voice with lush hip-hop, electronic textures and complex arrangements. Kelly’s palette is a dynamic blend of moods infused with melodic contours, complex harmonies and authentic, articulate lyricism. Her essence has carved out a niche all her own.
